A pivotal role focused on advancing the Actuarial Super Model (ASM) to support the company's subsidiaries with robust financial forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making. The position involves developing user-friendly tools, integrating model outputs, and providing analytical support for everything from commercial performance analysis to evaluating potential acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the ongoing development, testing, and debugging of the Actuarial Super Model (ASM)
• Develop and maintain user-friendly tools for assumption setting and Power BI reporting dashboards
• Work with software engineers to integrate model outputs into group financial systems
• Onboard and support non-actuarial users of the ASM
• Perform financial forecasting, data extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Conduct scenario analyses, regression modelling, and due diligence on acquisition targets
• Analyze commercial performance to inform future model development

Qualifications

• Education: BSc, BBusSc, or similar 3- or 4-year degree with actuarial science and statistics as majors
• Experience: Ideally 3 years of actuarial work experience in life insurance or retirement funds (valuations/pricing/modelling)
• Exam Progress: Must have passed or been exempted from core ASSA exams (A213/CT5, A211/CT1, A113/CT2)
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced Excel and intermediate SQL skills
• Experience with Python, VBA, and other software languages
• Soft Skills: Good communication and report-writing abilities to articulate complex concepts to lay audiences
